Definition of “consortium” for membership purposes

Given the diversity of legal and governance structures across Europe, a single universal definition of “consortium” is not feasible.

For membership purposes, a “consortium” refers to any collaborative entity other than a “standalone” hospital:

Examples: Consortia, networks, or umbrella organisations.
Certification Status: may hold a single shared certification, multiple individual certifications or designations, or be involved in one or more CCC certification processes or piloting activities.
Legal Structure: Can be a single legal entity, multiple legal entities, or none (depending on the national context).

The administrative contact, primary representative, and deputy representative must all belong to the same centre (this also applies to centres applying as part of a consortium).

Administrative Contact

The designated person at your centre, responsible for completing the Interest form and uploading all required documentation. This individual will be the sole point of contact for your centre and will receive an account to manage and submit the necessary documents for the application process.

Warning: The Administrative contact is the person who will receive credentials to log into the platform and follow the application. The Administrative Contact must be unique to each Cancer Centre.
